     AN ACT relating to wages.
     Amend KRS 337.275 to raise the state minimum wage to $8.10 per hour on July 1, 2014, $9.15 per hour on July 1, 2015, and $10.10 per hour on July 1, 2016; amend KRS 337.420 to define "equivalent jobs" as those that are equal under the federal Equal Pay Act, or jobs that are dissimilar but equivalent in skill, effort, responsibility, and working conditions; amend KRS 337.423 to prohibit wage discrimination on the basis of sex, race, or national origin by prohibiting wage differentials for employees who perform equivalent jobs; provide exceptions for wage differentials based on seniority or merit systems, systems that measure wages by quantity or quality of production, and factors other than sex, race, or national origin; amend KRS 337.425 to require the promulgation of administrative regulations to specify criteria for determining jobs that are dominated by employees of a particular sex, race, or national origin, and acceptable methodology for determining equivalent skill, effort, responsibility, and working conditions; require that the promulgation occur on or before July 1, 2015; amendments to KRS 337.423 EFFECTIVE July 1, 2016.

HB 1 - AMENDMENTS

     HCA (1/Title, R. Nelson) - Make title amendment.
     HFA (1, T. Moore) - Delete the $0.95 increase per hour in minimum wage over three years and increase to $29 per hour as of July 1, 2014.
     HFA (2, J. DeCesare) - Retain original provisions of the bill and amend KRS 337.010 to repeal prevailing wage for school construction.
     HFA (3, J. DeCesare) - Amend KRS 337.010 to exclude all educational buildings and facilities from meeting the requirements of the prevailing wage law.
     HFA (4, J. Hoover) - Delete all existing language; create a new section of KRS Chapter 141 to exempt the wages of a person whose wages are at or below the minimum wage from income tax.
     HFA (5, J. Gooch Jr.) - Create a new section of KRS Chapter 345 to allow a public employer to terminate coverage under KRS Chapter345 and collective bargaining with proper notice.
     HFA (6, J. Gooch Jr.) - Create a new section of KRS Chapter 345 to allow a public employer to terminate coverage under KRS Chapter 345 and collective bargaining with proper notice.
     HFA (7/Title, J. Gooch Jr.) - Make title amendment.
     HFA (8, G. Stumbo) - Amend KRS 337.010(2)(a)6. to increase minimum requirement of gross sales from $95,000 to $500,000 for exclusion from minimum wage.
     HFA (9, G. Stumbo) - Amend KRS 337.010(2)(a)6. to increase the gross sales volume for businesses to $500,000 from $95,000 for exclusion from minimum wage requirement.
