AN ACT relating to jurisdictional limits for Kentucky courts.
Amend KRS 24A.230 and 24A.290 to increase the jurisdictional limit of the small claims division of District Court from $1,500 to $2,500, for both claims and counterclaims.

HCS/LM - Amend KRS 24A.120 to increase civil jurisdiction of District Court to $5,000; amend KRS 24A.230 relating to small claims division jurisdiction of District Court to increase jurisdiction to $2,500; amend KRS 24A.290 relating to small claims division counterclaims in District Court to $2,500. HFA (1, S. Lee) - Amend various sections of KRS Chapter 24A to increase the jurisdictional limit of District Court to $10,000 and the jurisdictional limit of small claims court to $5,000. HFA (2, J. Hoover) - Amend KRS 24A.120, relating to the civil jurisdictional limit of District Court, to increase the jurisdictional limit from $4,000 to $7,500; amend KRS 24A.230, relating to the small claims division of District Court, to increase the jurisdictional limit from $1,500 to $4,000; amend KRS 24A.290, relating to counterclaims in the small claims division of District Court, to increase the jurisdictional limit from $1,500 to $4,000. HFA (3, S. Lee) - Amend various sections of KRS Chapter 24A to increase the jurisdictional limit of District Court to $10,000 and the jurisdictional limit of small claims court to $5,000.
