AN ACT relating to candidates.
Amend KRS 118.315 to require two petitioners for a candidate's nominating petition for election to a board of education.
HB 361 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, D. Ford) - Decrease number of petitioner signatures required for soil and water conservation district supervisor, city officer, justice of the peace, magistrate, constable, and board of education member to 2 signatures; remove requirement that petitioners submit a Social Security number; specify that the date a petitioner signs must be included.
SCS - Amend KRS 118.315 to reduce the number of petitioner signatures that a candidate for a board of education needs on the nominating petition to two; retain the current statutory signature requirements for all other candidates; require the petitioner to indicate the date he or she signs the nominating petition; delete the requirement that the petitioner provides a Social Security number.
SFA (1, T. Jensen) - Amend to decrease the number of petitioner signatures required candidates running for soil and water conservation district supervisor and board of education member to 2 signatures; amend KRS 262.210 to conform.
SFA (2, T. Jensen) - Amend to decrease the number of petitioner signatures required for candidates running for the board of education member to 2 signatures.
