HB 126 (BR 832) - A. Simpson

     AN ACT relating to code enforcement boards.
     Amend KRS 65.8505 to define "joint code enforcement board"; amend KRS 65.8808 to allow any local government to expand its code enforcement board to include additional cities or counties within its jurisdiction for performing the function for which the code enforcement board was organized; amend KRS 65.8811 to specify that a joint code enforcement board shall include equal representation on the board of all participating local governments; specify that board members representing joint code enforcement boards shall have resided within the boundaries of the local government they represent for a period of at least one year prior to the date of the member's appointment and shall reside there throughout the term of office.


     HCS - Amend new language in Section 3 to specify that the composition of the membership on a joint code enforcement board shall be set out in the interlocal agreement as adopted.
