AN ACT relating to aviation.
Create sections of KRS Chapter 36 relating to the Division of Air Transport in the Department of Military Affairs to prescribe the functions of the division, including management of the capital city airport and the maintenance, scheduling, and control of state aircraft; provide for the hiring of an airport administrator; prescribe rules for who is entitled to use state aircraft and under what conditions; provide for the collection of fees; prescribe rules for the requests for use of state aircraft and the maintenance of records and passenger manifests.
HB 393 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain the original provisions of the bill except delete the reference to an airport administrator and replace it with the division director.
SCA (1, P. Herron Jr) - Exclude all aircraft assigned to, owned, leased, operated, or controlled by the State Police from the definition of "state aircraft"; exclude the operation, maintenance, scheduling, and care of State Police aircraft from the provisions of the Act.
SFA (2, E. Harris) - Delete the provision to permit the Governor and Lt. Governor to maintain originals of requests for use of state aircraft made by their respective offices.
