     Direct the Legislative Research Commission to appoint a seventeen member legislative task force to study the impact of the certificate of need process on the cost, access, and quality of health care in the Commonwealth; and require a report of the findings and recommendations to the Legislative Research Commission by September 1, 2001.


     SCS/FN - Amend section of resolution to allow for determination of whether or not the long-term care "bed need methodology" should be altered to more adequately address the needs of the elderly population.
