HB 219 (BR 1133) - De. Butler

     AN ACT relating to ophthalmic dispensers.
     Amend KRS 326.020 to require reimbursement of expenses for members, allow board to revoke, suspend, or refuse to renew licenses, impose probationary conditions, impose fines; issue written reprimand, enforce provisions of chapter, and seek injunctive relief in Franklin Circuit Court; amend KRS 326.030 to require all persons practicing ophthalmic dispensing to be licensed; amend KRS 326.040 to impose $50 license fee, require high school diploma or General Educational Development certificate, require board approval for licensing examination; amend KRS 326.090 to allow board to refuse issuance, suspend, revoke, impose conditions upon, impose fines, or issue written reprimands to licensees who violate provisions of chapter; amend KRS 326.990 to set fine for misdemeanor; repeal KRS 326.050 - Issuance of license to persons in business prior to January 1, 1955 or in Armed Forces.


     HCS - Retain original provisions; amend to require that person whose license is denied or licensee who is reprimanded have the opportunity for a KRS Chapter 13B hearing; make technical changes.
