7.100(2) states that in its sole discretion the LRC may grant or deny the request to
create an entity or alternatively assign the subject matter of the proposed study or

Description – LRC staff is to study the advisability of licensing physician

RIBBON PANEL ON PUBLIC EMPLOYEE HEALTH BENEFITS

Brief
Description – Panel is to examine all aspects of health benefits available to
public employees.

EFFECTIVENESS
OF SALES AND USE TAX EXEMPTIONS FOR ENHANCING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Brief
Description – LRC staff is to study the effectiveness of the exemptions and
exclusions from the sales and use tax imposed under KRS Chapter 139 for enhancing economic
development within the Commonwealth.

BROADBAND TASK FORCE
Established in 2004 House Bill 627 (HB 627); reauthorized in 2005, HB 267.
Brief
Description – Creates the Kentucky Broadband Task Force to meet during the 2004
and 2005 Interims to examine the deployment of broadband in the Commonwealth.

Date – Interim report due to LRC and the Governor no later than November 15,
2004, final report submitted by November 15, 2005.
