      STATUTORY AUTHORITY: KRS 194.050, 211.090, 217.125

      NECESSITY, FUNCTION, AND CONFORMITY: The Kentucky Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, KRS 217.005 to 217.215 and 217.992, authorizes the Cabinet for Human Resources to regulate the misbranding and adulteration of foods, drugs, and cosmetics in Kentucky. The purpose of this administrative regulation is to establish uniform requirements and procedures to assist inspectors in determining compliance with KRS 217.005 to 217.215 and 217.992.

 

      Section 1. Inspector's Manual for State Food and Drug Officials. The requirements and procedures as set forth in the "Inspector's Manual for State Food and Drug Officials" as of July 6, 1990, are hereby adopted by reference for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. This manual is published by the Food and Drug Administration in cooperation with the Association of Food and Drug Officials. A copy of this manual shall be on file in the Office of the Commissioner for Heath Services, 275 East Main Street, Frankfort, Kentucky 40621, and is open for public inspection.
