      STATUTORY AUTHORITY: KRS 151B.035

      NECESSITY, FUNCTION, AND CONFORMITY: KRS 151B.035 requires the State Board for Adult and Technical Education to promulgate comprehensive administrative regulations governing classification and compensation plans.

      Section 1. An employee of a local school district who transfers to become an employee of the Department of Education after June 30, 1983, and subsequently to the Department for Adult and Technical Education on July 1, 1990, or who transferred to the Department for Adult and Technical Education after July 1, 1990, shall be allowed to transfer accrued sick leave. The employee shall be allowed credit for each year of experience in the local school system for the purposes of determining the rate of accumulation of annual and sick leave in the Department for Adult and Technical Education.
