780 KAR 2:010. Administration of area technology centers.

      NECESSITY, FUNCTION, AND CONFORMITY: KRS 151B.025(3) gives the Department for Technical Education the responsibility for all administrative functions of the state in relation to the management, control, and operation of state-operated secondary area vocational education and technology centers. This administrative regulation establishes the administrative functions of the state-operated area technology centers.

      Section 1. Administration of state-operated area technology centers shall be managed through the Department for Technical Education. All services and activities shall be directly related to the statutory mission of the Workforce Development Cabinet, Department for Technical Education, and the Kentucky State Plan for Vocational Technical Education, as incorporated by reference in 780 KAR 1:010.

      Section 2. Area technology centers shall be operated by either:

      (1) The Department for Technical Education; or
