603 KAR 1:030. Crushed stone, bituminous materials; certificate of eligibility to bid.

NECESSITY, FUNCTION, AND CONFORMITY: KRS 176.140 authorizes the Department of Highways to determine the eligibility of proposed suppliers of materials. This administrative regulation is adopted to determine the procedure to be followed by the supplier to establish this eligibility.
Section 1. Any person desiring to bid on crushed stone in lots of more than 1,000 tons or on bituminous materials in tank car lots shall first obtain a certificate of eligibility.
Section 2. Applications for certificates of eligibility shall contain information required by the Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, and be on forms prepared by the department. Such applications may be obtained from the Division of Purchases, Transportation Cabinet, Frankfort, Kentucky 40622.
Section 3. All certificates of eligibility shall be valid until the first June 30 after issuance unless revoked prior to such date. Certificates of eligibility shall be renewed before June 30 of each year or otherwise will become invalid. (HIWA-MAT PUR; 1 Ky.R. 809; eff. 5-14-75; Am. 14 Ky.R. 492; eff. 10-2-87.)
