Employee photo Meet Robyn Kemper. Staff members throughout the LRC have probably talked with Robyn many times when resetting a password or seeking help to recover a computer file. After 16 years in the Office of Computing and Information Technology as a Network Support Technician, there are few computer emergencies this 23-year LRC veteran hasn’t experienced. The Frankfort native is also familiar with the workings of other parts of the agency, having worked in the Statute Reviser’s Office, Office of the Speaker of the House, legislative committees and in the office of the former Committee Staff Associate Program during her more than two decades of service. She is also busy outside of work, not only as a mother and wife but as the president of the Board of Directors for the Men’s Shelter and Soup Kitchen in Frankfort, as jewelry coordinator for the prom-dress and accessories assistance program Cinderella’s Closet (where she serves with fellow LRCer Cindy Smith) and as an active member of Capital City Christian Church for over 40 years. She used to be an avid hunter with her husband—“However, when our kids became old enough to go hunting with him, I decided that I kind of enjoyed sleeping in on those cold mornings”—and is now a licensed Zumba instructor. Kemper also loves to make crafts and sweets. “I am well known on the computer staff for my white-chocolate covered pretzels,” she said.
